Quick question on tire fitment.

I drive a 03 Mazda 6, the tires I'm running right now are 205/60/R16, I'm looking to buy a certain set of rims with tires on them that are 225/55/R16, will the tires I have on my car now transfer over fine? Just trying to make sure because they are fairly new.

Also, what's the best option for lowering? Not really looking to spend allot because money is tied up right now, I don't want to be slammed, just want a nice stance, no more 4x4 gap. Any cheap decent alternatives than spending hundreds? Thanks everyone!

What is the size of the new wheels? The tires should switch over just fine.

Lowering springs are ~$200 that is really the cheapest route to go besides cutting your springs which I wouldn't recommend but it has been done before.

Your existing tires (the 205's) can handle a rim of width 5.5 - 7.5 inches.
As long as the width of the rims you're buying are somewhere in that range you should be fine.
