Another fitment question.

Hey peeps. Quick question. My buddy's selling me some rims. We decided to undergo a fitment test sometime this weekend or next week. His rim specs are 17x9 front, and 17x10 rear. All 20 offset. Any idea on how much of a hassle its going to be to fit them in?

and from that thread :

"Finally, lowering springs do NOT cause (or even influence) whether a tire setup will rub. It only increases the frequency and/or severity of the occurance."

I wouldn't go for those rims. 20 offset is going to make the rims stick out really far and with 9" and 10" tires those things are going to rub like crazy. You probably will need a body shop to pull the fenders.

Ok yeah thanks guys. I know its gonna be some work but needed some reassurance. Haha. And yes, I'm lowered on STech springs. I know one of the members here was able to fit 18x7.5 +20 on STechs as well. I wouldn't mind fender flaring either... Ill keep you guys posted with pics when it happens.

Yeah.... in short those wheels won't fit.

And there's no reason to stagger on this car.

And if you're stretching, you really will want to run 18's. Stretched 17's don't look right.

Here's what 18x10, +40 looks like.

+20 offset would stick out almost another inch.

Here's the front with the suspension compressed

Like Dizzoh said - won't fit.

Now if you add cutout flares . . .
