New tires for 06' with 18" wheels

I'm looking to replace my Eagle GT tires (215/45/r18). I liked the tires a lot - they performed very well. However, they're pricier than I'd like, loud, and the overall mileage left something to be desired.

I have received a few recommendations for replacements: Toyo Proxes 4 Plus ($150/tire) and the Continental ExtremeContact DWS ($150/tire). Both include 50k mile warranties and are a bit cheaper than the Goodyear Eagle GTs.

Any reviews on the tires I mentioned or suggestions within the above price range would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum!

I loved my Eagle GTs but they're certainly pricey. Tirerack was having a closeout on them last week for an absurd price ($107/ea.!!!) Check them out maybe it's still going on.

As for the Proxes and DWS I've got no personal experience with them, but the DWS I've heard good things about.

Toyo tires are not too bad you just have to choose the right one for you because some of the models they have are bottom of the line they do have a good performance live but not cheap I actually have Nexxen performance
And townfair had a toyo that was the exact same even tad pattern .My Nexxen lasted 6yrs. On my Mustang and that was with many well over 100mph(they were speed rated over 180) the ride felt the same from 0-100+ but they cost around $200ea. For 18" 275ZR4518, slightly less for my front tires 18" 245ZR4518
