What color wheels?

Hey all,
I'm getting a set of RX-8 wheels this weekend which will have to be refinished due to some rash.

Sitting on some ugly-ass chrome right now, wondering what color powder coat would go good with white.

pic related, obviously-

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Those are going to be removed this weekend. :P
I can not tell you how much I despise these chrome wheels. Austin PD just LOVES me because of them.

Re: What color wheels?

Lol. Powder coat is much harder to scratch than paint. Not only that you can buff powder much better.

tapatalking.. err wait.

This is correct. In addition I recommend clear coating on top of the powder. This is what I plan for my RX8's next season.

Only get a clear if you:
1)need it so that the metallic color will not oxidize
2)You really want that extra gloss.
3)When you get gloss black. Gloss black shows scratches like paint does but with the extra clear on it you will not see them as easily and it's easier to buff.

Other than that I would not recommend a clear coat. The thicker the coat gets the more susceptible it is to chipping. Of course a base with a clear is not thick at all. I just try to avoid any extra MIL thickness.
