Can 1st Gen 17" wheels be used on 2nd Gen 2009+ 17 wheels?

I have a set of 2004 17" x 7" x 60mm offset wheels in near perfect condition that I'm going to sell, perhaps for use with winter tires.

I was going to say they fit the new 2nd Gen 2009+ models, but wanted to clear it here.

1-st gen: 17" x 7" x 60mm ET wheels, 215 x 55 Tires
2nd gen: 17" x 7" x 55mm ET wheels, 215 x 50 Tires

ET = offset

Wheel Tech - Offset

The 17" 2nd gen wheels is the same 17" x 7", but with 55 ET rims. The 2nd gen tires are the same as 1st gen except "taller" due to the 55 Aspect Ratio, vs the old 60 Aspect Ratio.

So on 2nd gen cars, the old 17" 60 mm ET rim (vs the new 17" 55 mm rims) and the new tire, will now be recessed inward an extra 5mm (.2"). I doubt that would cause any inside rubbing.

Any comments are welcomed.
By the way would $100 / set + shipping be reasonable ?

They should fit, no problem.

In fact, I thought I saw a 2nd-gen with the 5-spoke 1st-gen wheels before. Not sure if it was this forum or not...

actually, the +60mm will be 5mm sunk inwards of the fender, not 5mm towards the fender.

You are correct, thanks! On a 2nd Gen, going from 55mm to 60mm offset on the same width tire will sink the wheel and tire 5mm inward of the fender. I'll edit the 1st page.
