New Wheels Rub Even After Fender Roll

Hey guys...

So i have a problem.

I recently picked up a set of MSR rims 18x8 with an offset of 45 on 225/45/18 Eagle GTs. With a fender roll, i reduced the rubbing. however even with a couple people in the back, it rubs on every minor dip and bump.

What are my options going forward? I dont mind getting rid of the rims, but the tires i would love to keep as theyre a pretty good set.

You could add some negative camber if they are rubbing on the fender.

Where did you roll it? The rear wheel wells need to be rolled tight in the thin area directly behind the passenger door.

I will take pictures in the morning. I really do not want to get rid of the rims, nor the tires. I am not sure cuz i asked another guy to do them.

what about you? youve got +35 and 235 tires, how much rubbing are you getting?

I had 225/45s on my 18X7s with 42mm offset that rubbed with fender roll. Switched to 225/40s & stopped rubbing.
My offset sticks out 3mm(0.1") more than your wheels, so lower profile tires.

But your rims are an inch less wider...or does that not come into play since the tires are the same width?

According to this Custom rims, wheel tire packages for your ride - RIMSnTIRES.com my wheels stick out 0.1" more than yours. I plugged in your wheel specs vs mine. I had 225/45s & it scraped, 225/40s did fine, but still scraped with ppl in back seat going over RR tracks.

225/40 tires are too short, less sidewall to rub though.

I'm on coilovers 18x8+35 235/40 and only rub on fast hard dips... And that's only because my rear c/o shocks are out the door.

you may be right.

The gouge marks on the tires line up to that part of the fender that hasnt been rolled. Aside from which there isnt any part of the fender that could make that gouge elsewhere.
