Need help with wheel issues

Recently i just bought a set of 17x8 28mm offset wheels on 225/45/17 tires and they fit but rub a lot only in the rear. I am lowered on coils with about 1/2 inch wheel gap and i was wondering if i change the tire size to a 215-40-17 if that will solve my issue without raising the car

Just pull your fenders...that tire size is way too small and will look absolutely ridiculous.

The rear fenders that u rolled aren't enough. U gotta pull that area slightly to stop the rubbing.

+1. the area you're most likely rubbing on is towards the front of the arch.

in theory you could throw a little camber at it to remove the rubbing as well.

Pics of said wheels on car?

I would have given you $1200 CDN (~$1500 of your US pesos). I can't believe I passed that up...I'm still kicking myself for it.

yep up front is exacly where its rubbing.
i just raised it a little over a 1/4in and with weight in the back it will rub.
Im thinking a smaller tire possibly 215-45-17 or 215-40 and a little camber may be, if needed.
8o8mazda6 what are you lowered on?/??? more pics??
