I'm in need of some new tires and was wondering what sizes fit on the stock Speed6 rims. Do 225/45/R18's or 235/45/R18's fit with no rubbing? Or what tire size is suggested besides the 215/45/R18 that there seems to be only about 3 different tire manufacturers to choose from.

Please point me in the right direction as the Potenza's are SHEEITE!!!

225/45/18 Fit just fine and are a lot cheaper than 215/45/18. 225/40/18 are even cheaper, but I am not sure the load rating is correct for the MS6 with those.

The stock MS6 rim is 18" x 7" with a +55 offset. A 225/45 will fit perfect on it and is an approved size for a 7" rim. A 235/40 or 225/40 will also "fit", but they are not approved sizes for a 7" rim so in the interest of safety, it's not a good idea. A 225/40 rim needs a 7.5" rim, and a 235/40 needs a 8" rim.

thank you for the info... I was thinking of getting some General Exclaim UHP's... I've herd good things on these tires and I'm on a lower end budget for tires... Anyone disagree?

So, no modifications will be needed correct? I should be able to just slap the tires on and the rims on the vehicle and everything will fit like a glove?

If I can just get some confirmation, I am ordering them immediately

It's good to know that 225/45/18's will Fit OK. I just went to order some winter tires for the stock rims. The Blizzak ws70's are only $147 a piece on tire rack with the size 225/45/18. But there's a note that says "Aggressive fit, Rear Fender lip modification may be required with this size." I was confused by that because I run a 235/40/r18 tire on a different set of rims. 18x8's with a 47mm offset and there is way more room than the few mm's of difference between the 2 tire heights.

I have 225/40/18s all seasons on my speed6 stock rims, yeah not recommended, but I've had no problems. I run them in the winter only, so no 'hard' driving.
