they will fit fine, lowered doesnt make the tire rub only makes it rub more if its going to happen.
17x7 with +40 should be fine

You will need to roll those. I have 17x7 +35 215/50/17 and they rubbed ALOT when just me and not rolled. +5mm isn't that big of a difference so you will need a roll especially with the sidewall of your tire like mine
