Your opinion on Mazda 6 buying dilemma?

All,

I am looking for a used Mazda 6 S Grand Touring. I currently have two options and would like to know what you think.
Option 1:
2009 Mazda 6 S Grand Touring with 50k miles, no Navigation, 2 owners, clean carfax and autocheck. Its from a private seller asking for $15500. I'm sure I can bring it down to $15000.

Option 2:
2011 Mazda 6 S Grand Touring with 23k miles, navigation, 1 owner. Carfax says it has been in an accident where it "involving rear impact with another motor vehicle". It is Certified Pre Owned and dealer is asking for $17955. I believe because of the accident I can bring it down to $16500 or 17000.

If you guys were in my shoe, which one would you choose? Both have its pros and cons. I am leaning towards option 1(2009) version because its a private seller and I can have it for $15k clean, with no worries of tax and dealership fees and bs.

Your thoughts?

Thanks for your input.

I'd say option two
For the bump of 1-2 grand
You can have a newer car, but then again it depends how long you'd wanna keep it.
If you only wanna keep it for a bit and then sell it, option 1 is better.
If you are looking to keep it for a few years then maybe option 2 because you could get warranty on it!

Agreed. Shop some more and keep looking.

Flags (option 1: mileage, option 2: accident). Seems like rip-off prices for me.

For $5K or so more..you can have a 3rd Gen Touring 6MT like mine ($22,600 + TTL).
