Sneak Peek at 2020 Mazda 3?

The next generation Mazda 3 is set to debut at the LA Auto show next month, but Mazda has released a 15sec video offering a sneak peek. The video includes a shot of the quarter panel and a separate shot of the door profile.

As others have guessed (in different forums), the red car with the horrifically sloped rear glass is most likely the rotary hybrid or the electric boost vehicle, dubbed "Kai", and the grey car is the new 3 sedan.

But various news junkets have the Kai tabbed as the next Mazda3 without mention to rotary hybrid.... Guess we'll find out next month!

I might be in the minority but I'm not a huge fan. It looks like they took a 3 and let it melt in the sun like a crayon. The 3 and 6 are already the best looking cars in their classes by a country mile, why weird it up? Still looks better than a Honda or Corolla robocar, though.

Manual transmissions, wagons, and heavy metal are awesome. Zoom-Zoom \m/

I was hoping it would look more like the 4. If it looks like the Kai, I for one don't like the "no ass" look. Other than that it looks wonderful from the B pillar forward.
