I was driving home from work last night and my car suddenly wouldn't accelerate anymore, like it would if it was set in neutral, but it was still in drive. Everything electrical was still on though. I pull over to the side of the interstate, turn the car off, and try to crank it back on, but the car won't start. I had a friend drive me back home, but the car is still there. I drive a 2008 Mazda 6.
We'd like to help, but this isn't much info we can work with. If you want to DIY car repair, you gotta learn to diagnose and test things to narrow the problem down.
The good news is, you're going to learn from this.
Since it's half past 2019, you can get a cheap bluetooth OBD2 reader from amazon for $12. That is one hell of a shortcut for diagnosing various problems.
