Engine Shutting Off While Idling
2007 Mazda 6i 2.3LNon Turbo 150,000 miles...Engine shuts down when idling...Had the EMC flashed the 2 codes are PO126 and PO128 which are coolant and thermostat related...PO126 Insufficient Coolant Temp For Stable Operation...PO128 Coolant Temp Below Operating Temp...Can anyone tell me if this would cause the engine shut off during idling...Drives fine without issue while moving...Putting the Trans in Neutral also prevents the engine from shutting off...Just replaced Alternator due to Head lights Dimming and Radio going off while in operating mode, also A/C blower drops operating speed for a couple seconds before returning to appropriate speed...Lights and Radio issues corrected with new Alternator...A/C may be a different issue possible blower motor resistor or motor...Any suggestions to help with the engine issue would most welcomed...Thanks in advance.
Obviously when you start a car after sitting overnight it is not up to temp. I don't think I've ever heard of a car shutting down for not being warm enough.
Hate to even make a suggestion (but here goes) because it doesn't seem possible.
Thermostat stuck open and it's still pretty cool where you are? Def. interested what it turns out to be.
Here's hoping we get some folks to chime in and you get this solved.
