Hi can you guys help. Will a 07 model 2.3 engine fit into my 04 model. Are they exactly the same inside and out. Will all my 04 bits bolt onto the 07 model. Thanks

I understand there are changes ... but all I need to know is are the bare engines the same.from 03 to o7 ? Thanks

There are changes between those years; I do not know to what extent though.

From looking at Long-Blocks, they appear to have changed between 2004 & 2005

One of the camshafts has a different timing wheel on it from 03 to 07. You can swap the whole camshaft but you need the timing tools to do it. I think they can actually be rented at Autozone. Some have successfully just changed the timing wheel over as well.
