Welcome to the forum!

Congrats on your purchase. Hopefully the 2017 can be as much fun as I'm sure you had in the 626.

hah!

I'm a huge fan of the new Mazdas, of course, I've been a huge Mazda fan for years. My wife's '18 CX-5 GT is a great car and I was really eyeing the '17 6's before deciding to limit ourselves to a single car payment at a time. So I went and picked up another 1st get 6s for myself instead. Good fun!

I really like that 626. Unfortunately, I can't afford a car back then. Do you still have that car?

Hi Fish,

No, long gone. Pretty good car for its era except the 3-speed auto transmission just didn't have enough gears -- typical of cars from that time, of course.

To me, the huge improvement in ATXes over the decades has really eased the pain of us old gearheads who used to always buy 4 and 5 speed manuals. The ATX in my 2017, esp. in sport mode, is so good I usually let it shift instead of doing it manually.

I don't have this sports mode so I don't know what I'm missing out...
