Hello All!! I’ve read many, many threads from this site in the past for other issues I’ve had; hoping someone has an answer for me this time.

I know HOW to adjust the height of my headlights, using a long screw driver...with that being said, my passenger side won’t adjust. Basically when I turn the screw driver, nothing happens. The headlight is basically pointing straight down, so I get barely any beam pointing down the road. I’ve searched and searched for replacement parts and I can’t find anything other than generic headlight screws.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

It sounds as if the threads of the adjusting screw inside the headlamp have been stripped, or the mechanism itself may have failed.

You may want to look into getting a new headlamp unit.

This is what I am hoping to NOT have to do. But I realize it’s probably the only option.

Anyone know if there is a way to only replace the screw/mechanism?

The adjuster is not available by itself.

Fast forward to present time...

The headlight bulb retainer is broken on my headlight. It wasn’t originally, but it snapped when I was trying to fix the issue. Does anyone know if it is possible to buy the plastic retainer that holds the bulb? I have browsed around and looked eBay, but can’t seem to find anything. Of course, none of the junk yards around me have a 2009/2010 in inventory.

Also, does anyone know if the 2011-2013 headlights will fit in a 2010? I’ve read that it “will” but people can’t guarantee it.

Thanks in advance for any help.
