FNG from Seattle.

Greetings. I work in a Mazda dealership. One of the perks of working there is getting first crack at any good trade-ins and I recently lucked out. Some folks bought a new CX5 and traded in their Squall Blue 2004 Mazda 6 Sportwagon. I've always loved the long roof sixes. They are the original owners, the car has 87,000 miles and has been dealer maintained since Day 1. The black leather interior is in fantastic condition and the car has every option available in 2004. The CD changer even works. Equipment-wise, the only down side is that it is an automatic, but that's not a huge deal for me. The body is remarkably straight, but the paint needs some attention. It has a lot of scuffs and scratches, but most of them should come out with a cut and buff. Mechanically, it runs smooth and strong, it doesn't leak a drop of oil and the transmission shifts crisply. It has the factory 17-inch wheels, but all four of them have some curb rash. I just scored (for free!) a set of 18-inch alloys off of a 2018 M3 that we did a wheel swap on for the customer, so I'll run these until winter, then put a set of Blizzaks on these wheels, and put a new set of 18's on in the spring. Other plans include a new set of belt moldings next week. I also ordered one of the last remaining pearl gray accessory fuel doors in the country today and should have it in about 10 days. The first thing I did to the car was 20% tint all around and my next big project will be to remove the roof rack rails. I'll never use them and they ruin the lines.

Pic for attention.

Welcome fellow long topper!! And in the Seattle area too. Where abouts specifically? I'm in Edmonds. I'd love to meet another enthusiast.

Also, we have a wagon live thread on here. You should stop in and post up a few shots. We always love to see a good long top.
