Identify exterior part

I have a 2017.5 Mazda 6 sport. What is the part of the car that sits directly between the hood and the grille. Itís a long plastic piece that goes the whole length of the car and is about 5 inches tall. Some little neighbor kid scratched it all up and I was wondering what it would cost to replace. It looks like it is a separate piece to the front bumper.

Appreciate any help!

Mazda calls it an "upper grille" and it comes already painted. It lists for $203.19, but the price will vary depending on what your local dealer does.

You can find them on Ebay from 70 to 100 bucks, just search for 2017 Mazda6 Upper grille - 2014-2017 are all the same size.

All I see are stickers to cover it and one unpainted aftermarket reproduction. Weird.

You're not going to find them painted.

Sure you will. See my post above. It's going to cost you more than a hundred bucks to have that repop piece painted.
