I don't remember asking for Speed3 advertisements or smartass remarks about you having seen the car, which i never suggested you had, but i can live with that. I haven't made up my mind about this particular individual, but i am really interested in it. I have full cash for it, so no need for loans or whatever = easy shopping.

I'll keep looking, thanks Deemo13 & Co.
It's not an advertisement... It's sound advice.

And what do you expect but smart ass remarks when you ask for opinions but disregard them?

Take that cash and buy it, keep us updated...

Don't wanna go off topic.... but actually this car always sends torque to the rear, unless you're driving at parking lot speeds or the handbrake is on.

If you've driven a speed6, you would know it does not drive like a FWD at all.

We have a base model 2007 Corvette. We went to attempt to trade it in a month or so ago and found that the dealer sold the car to us without telling us that it had been in 2 previous crashes and the whole car had been painted.

That being said, it is in very very good condition and only has about 65k on it. Just know the history of the car and take it for that test drive.

I haven't read the entire thread but wanted to point out that, at least on the speed6, wet plugs are very, very, very rarely the cause of trouble.

Note the top mount intercooler, with the ducting pulling air in from the front grill. Now think about driving in the rain, and how much water is getting in, through the ducting, through the TMIC and into that channel where the plugs go.

Heck, note particularly the drain holes in that cavity for that very reason.

Bad coil packs happen, not a big deal. But from washing the engine I'd be more worried about the alternator & such than the plugs & coil packs.

Ah, that is interesting, I haven't tested one as there were none in my area to test unfortunately. I see one driving about town fairly often.

The FWD being used the majority of the time is something that I've always heard about the speed 6. Realistically though, the car is biased to fwd if it can only transfer half of the torque to the rear wheels at most, and in the case of your evidence seems to be sending at most 20% to the rear wheels most of the time.

I'd rather have it be the other way around, but for me, I'd just get a Speed 3 as in my opinion its not gonna make much of a difference having awd, even in Michigan.
