Newbie - Qs about Sirius
Hey guys -
Just got a '17 6 GT (with premium package) and I had a couple of quick questions regarding Sirius radio:

- On my old car, I had the option to have the name of the band playing currently shown in the station list instead of just the name of the station. Is this an option on the 6?

- There is a black box next to each song. Should the album cover be shown in Sirius?

- Some cars these days have the Sirius logo shown on the screen. Does Mazda not display this (this one is not a biggie for me - just curious).

Loving the car so far. Had a '03 Mazda 6 for 8 years and came back 'home' this weekend.

- Most stations show the name of the station on top /then the artist/ and then song playing on bottom. Some, like kiisfm (ch11) only shows kiisfm.

- blank album art will be there on xm. I've never seen any album art on xm. I've only seen album art with the radio(unsure about cd's/usb).. I'm sure it has something to do with rds.

ok - thanks!

On the song title question .. I do see the full info on the station. My question was on the station list itself (scrolling through them). All I see is the station name. Is there a way to have it show the artist currently playing?

That is a no. Only will show the station list.

I suspect that the blank area for album art is another area Mazda cut a corner like they did with live traffic data for nav, considering plenty of other vehicles have album art from SiriusXM (I'm sure the hardware is capable and they have a placeholder for it, just didn't feel like paying any extra licensing cost or for the extra development).
