2014 Mazda 6 Grunting Sound from the Engine

Hi All, I just got my iTouring for couple days and notice there are some grunting sound coming from the engine (passenger side). I'm just wondering if this normal or not. I attached the picture with an arrow pointing to the area that making the noise. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

could be a bad pulley

i had a pulley go on my 2006 mazda 3 and it made a groaning noise..

strange that a brand new car would have the issue though, havent noticed any groans on my 2014 yet.

I too have a Touring 6MT.

Grunting while idling or upon acceleration?

There is a distinct growl (which is normal) of the long stroke 2.5 I hear often while accelerating and holding gears from 2nd-3rd thru 4rth gears.

Can you record it? This could be something else..
