Currently talking to a organization who custom fabs plastic parts.. Considering having some of the covers and stuff in the engine bay fabbed up in clear plastic and spraying them whatever color I opt to go with for the theme of the engine bay and leaving something like "mazda 6" or something clear and putting some LED's under them to make it glow. Possibly the fuse box top and other stuff. Idk just an idea i was kicking around.

Meh don't care much for the kits that people are selling.. Kind've like the ground kits, they're all about how much money they can get for absolutely nothing. I actually did the ground wiring myself and it changed absolutely nothing. Had it hooked up to the Mazda scan tool with and without the grounds hooked up and there was 0 change in anything. As far as "noise" in the system, it's completely bogus. The only place that it's even possible to get noise is from the alternator and if it's not bad, it won't cause any. The throttle body is grounded to the engine and doesn't need a wire to ground it because all you're actually grounding is the case itself and not the electrical system at all. Idk, I just don't buy into the "kits"
The whole plastic and LED thing is just an idea and I haven't fully decided whether I'm going to take that route or just spray what I have and forgo the LEDs

Good work man. Im glad your on this forum helping us with that stuff. I'll be taking ground wires off tomorrow lol. When i put my exhaust on, i did resonator delete, would that hurt my HP at all? Also i stayed with the original piping size at 2.25, should i go to 2.5inches? or does it matter? if so, i wanna get this done when i get the Header put on.

2.25 - 2.5 won't make a huge difference in an i4. honestly anything flows better than the stock system and that's all that really matters. The resonator is nothing more than a long muffler keeping the noise and vibration in the cabin down. It doesn't affect horsepower at all unless you're having back pressure issues. All it does it make it flow a little better and thus be a little louder and you'll notice a big difference in cabin noise. Personally I don't mind the cabin noise but some people do. I'll probably be either deleting or putting a high flow in mine when I do it. anyway back to the pipe diameter question, obviously the bigger the pipe the more flow you get but just like anything else it is affected by diminishing returns. Obviously a 2.5 inch pipe is going to be less restrictive and better than a 1 inch pipe but you won't notice any difference in a 3 inch pipe because the motor isn't creating enough exhaust gases to be able to optimize a 3 inch pipe. I'm pretty sure consensus has been that 2.5 is perfect for the i4 but it won't make enough of a difference to go from 2.25 to 2.5 to really make it worth the investment unless you're completely out of mods that you can do and you're just looking to spend money lol.

kyle I love your 6 man, it's a damn good looking car! Just wish you would've went with a bigger wheel or tire, your wheel wells look HUGE with those things especially since they're black. But anyhow... very nice work and well-deserved compliments.

EDIT: Are you riding on H&R's or coils? Thing looks really low.
