Looking to upgrade a stock 03' mazda 6sport please help

So I just got my 1st car. A 2003 Mazda 6 sport. Is its my 1st car im pretty excited to start messin wit it.trying to make a decent upgrade to it. Got about $1,000 cash nd at 1st I was trying to buy sum rims but those are out my price range for now. So I have my heart set on an audio system. So far it's all cometely stock but I was wondering if u guys could help me pick a system thatll really bump for >1,000 if possible. Please help my by giving me brands nd model numbers or great sites or local shops(I live in Los Angeles) where to get a system wit great bass as I only listen to hip hop. Any help will be appreciated as I am new to all this car audio stuff.so please let me know wat you guys recommend

Crutchfield.com is the greatest car audio site you'll find on the net IMO.

I have been looking at this particular package offered by a website called sonicelectronix.com Bass Package: Kicker 10ZX15001 + Alpine SWR-1223D + Amp Kit + Box. It is just under my budget but am I really getting the best bang for my buck if I go with this? Also would this package work with the stock headunit or will I need to buy somethin else to make it work or am I just goin to buy an aftermarket one because I would really rather keep my stock headunit piece. Please help if u can thanks alot

You're looking to only add subs to a stock system?
