Why does Mada get away with using thin ass paint?

They use this very thin as paint on the new models as well. You're paying 30k for a brand new car that comes with thin paint that you will have to be extra careful with, otherwise, you'll have rock chips, dings, clear coat problems, etc.

How can they get away with shorting the customer like this? All these years and nobody has done anything.

What are the benefits of using thin paint? There is none. All this bullshit for "ecofriendly" stuff, the only who gets screwed is the customer.

It is a "requirement" and I've read that it is actually more expensive to do this kind of paint. I mean, doing a thin paint. I'll see if I can find the article.

They get away with it because we all bought it regardless of the thinness of paint.

If no one was buying cars with thin paint, no one would sell them with it; that's how capitalism works.

Serious question: you don't like anything about the Mazda 6, and you don't like the people who drive them. Why do you still own one, and also why do you solely shitpost negative things about the 6 on a community board where people all are 6 fans?

Surely someone as smart as you could afford a BMW and post on those boards, as a much better use of your time?

Manual transmissions, wagons, and heavy metal are awesome. Zoom-Zoom \m/

He doesn't like anything about Mazda 6 and yet his username is Mazda 6?

Kidding aside, I have the same complaint. Although I am comparing it with our CR-V 98 which is a twenty year old car, the paint and metal sheet is much thicker. Of course, it is heavier and so consumes more gas.

I have to admit, I became a fan of Mazda because of the 6. And if I'll have the opportunity, I'll buy an MX-5.

I think the solution is to add another coat to protect the factory paint. A bit expensive for me but it may be worth the money.

You haven't been here long enough to know the full extent of Suspension's complaints haha. I won't recite them here, but let's say this is maybe his 6th thread about this very subject haha.

We all hate how thin the paint is but, like you said, there's little you can do besides getting the whole car sprayed, so we muddle on and do our best to protect it.

Also, for Mazda6Suspension, I'm just going to throw this out there.

95% of your paint chips come from tailing other cars too closely; it's your fault, not Mazdas. You won't like hearing that, but it's all of our faults. I'll be the first to admit I tail people too closely at times, and I've suffered plenty of chips from that unfortunately. If we all left a proper amount of room, you'd very rarely take damage.

Such an injustice as thin paint should require those responsible to be immediately apprehended by the Latvian paint police, locked up and thrashed with a used buffing wheel. That should teach them...
