How comes thieves are always one step ahead of us?

Thieves who don't have much (otherwise, why steal), yet they are easily defeating thousands and thousands of dollars worth of engineering, invention, research in the car and home business. All these big manufacturers spending millions of dollars, only for their systems to be defeated easily by a young buck with a few tools lmao

How is this possible? That after so much technology, the thieves are always ahead of the stupid dumb public. You would think after all these decades and technology advancement, someday, this thieves would go out of business, yet they always find a way to beat these multi million dollar systems. It's ridiculous.

I hate that saying "If a thief wants it bad enough, he will get it". A defeating attitude. You pay thousands of dollars on security on your car and house, only to be easily defeated by some run of the mill geek with some tools and hacks.

Might as well not do anything. You can buy a $1000 security system on you car and have it stolen tomorrow just like that.

People spend hundreds if not thousand on camera security system, which doesn't do anything. The thief covers his face, car plates and he is protected. Your cameras ain't gon do nothing. Its a false sense of security. What you gonna do, give the tape to the police so they can catch the invisible thieves? lol what is the police gon do with a video of some dudes where you can't see no skin on their body?

Police has better things to do than that. You're own your own. If you car gets stolen, even if you have a GPS on it. The thieves can dismantle the car in a matter of minutes and escape with the parts before police gets a clue. Besides, if the car has been stolen, why would you want it back anyway?

I have better question, Why do people create worthless post just for attention? Exactly just like thieves they have nothing better to do but waste peoples time.

So you're basically saying that thieves are all super-smart computer geeks with tons of technical knowhow and expensive technology, that are also omnipotent and will know exactly how to overcome any and every anti-theft measure you put on. And you're also saying that police don't care about grand theft and that detectives aren't a thing. You think there is some grand conspiracy to shaft you.

You worry too much. You've been reading too many Internet articles saying if someone wants it bad enough they will steal it. Ok but why would anyone want your car over the car 2 houses down that is easy to steal? Sure, if someone showed up with a tow truck they could steal your car. What are the odds of that happening?

Seriously just pay the extra 2 bucks a month for theft insurance and quit worrying about it.

That's what it seems like. No matter how much technology and security advances, some regular thieves is always one step head of big companies and the general public.

No need for a tow truck, as the key fob can be copied very easily. You can have all the technology and security set in place and they still find ways to overcome it.

This proves what one thing. That those thieves are hungrier than big companies and regular average joe, which is why they are willing to work, study, research, innovate, even harder than all of us and that's why they always figure out ways to beat us.

They want it more badly. They hungry, they need it more. As such, they have my respect. This proves that willpower and desperation can overcome even the biggest obstacles.

Why worry about it then? The Mazda 6 has less than a 1% chance of being stolen. For every 6 that is, almost 3 dozen Honda & Toyotas will be snatched.

Besides, are mostly grabbed for the parts... I think that rear spoiler flapping in the breeze will be a pretty good deterrent.

So the point of this thread was to let everyone know you admire felons?

This is because we foolishly trust technology when it is very very vulnerable.

I will never own a car newer than 2007 until the day I die. Even mid 2000's have a lot of fragile tech.

2004 Mazda 6s 3.0 5dr. 5spd never ending money vacuum project:
CP-E headers w/catted mid + Magnaflow carback/AEM CAI/3.7L TB/Speed6 springs/RX-8 wheels
AWR 70D Enginemount/CP-E Dogbone/Custom urethane stock trans mount
Ralco shortshifter/Bose w/Auxmod/sharkfin antenna/lots of little things...

How is that any better though? Those older cars can be hot wired very easily. Even if you have an alarm, unless you have a backup battery, they can quickly disable the alarm, open the door, hot wire, your car is gone.

My Camaro may be easy to hotwire; but unless you know how to start a fincicky carbureted engine you'll never get it to start. The "personalities" of no tech engines are never the same- my car may take 2 pumps of the accelerator to start while another may take 3 and holding on third.
