Ah. To my knowledge, cx-5 and m6 steering wheels aren't cross compatible. I don't think any of them are, even between the 3 and the 6.

The wheel *should* fit, but the controls probably won't work since the head units are completely different from one another.

Thank you for the response, but if I had an aftermarket head unit it might work with the correct harness correct? I know they both look similar, but I like the 2017 steering wheel better.

So long as the harness has the correct connectors/leads for the steering wheel's input to be handled by the HU, I don't see why not
