Wiring up some footwell lights?

So, Ive swapped all the bulbs inside to LEDs, and now, I want to get some footwell lighting done up.

I want to have them flip on when the doors open, but I have a question. Is there an easy way of getting them wired up?

I have no issues tearing the door apart to get at the wires, just wondering if there is access to them under the dash?

Or, if anyone has a wiring chart, I can do it up from there

Thanks for any help!

I have the illuminated door sil plates and it shows how to wire those up to the BCM harness.

If you remove the driver side kick panel, the BCM has a few connectors on the side facing the rear of the vehicle.
See the diagram below.

Awesome!

Im going to get the sills a bit later. I work oilfield so my interiour is usually a mess. Going to get some heavier-duty sills rather than the lit mazda ones (which I do like a lot)

What kind of lights did you use for your footwells?

Honestly, I just tapped into the dome light (which turns on when the doors open) and routed the wires through the edge of the headliner, down the side pillar and behind the dash. It was relatively easy and didn't take long at all. You can't see anything but the lights. You'd never know it wasn't stock. Let me know if you need any help.
