how to connect laptop to my car?

Hi,

Please excuse my English
I would like to install a notebook in my car. (Mazda 6, 2003)
I have a problem with synchronization of the LCD monitor.

My laptop has VGA output (RGB + Vsync + Hsync)
I constructed this circuit: http://www.epanorama.net/circuits/vga2rgbs_ttl.gif

The output of this circuit is 4.5 volts and the output from the original DVD-ROM is only 1 volt. Resistive divider, I reached the required voltage.

The picture is still not yet.
Where can I find out resolution LCD monitor.

Has anyone solve it?

I hope you understand me.

What kind of laptop are you using? Is it running Windows 7, and if so, is it x86 or 64 bit?

P.S. All this can be found by Right-Clicking "My Computer" (or if on Windows Vista/7) "Computer", and going to "Properties"

Let me know if you need any help.

Cheers

Sounds like either your computer's graphics card doesn't know how to output the screen's resolution, or you don't have the right driver for it.

What kind of computer is it? If you can give me the model I can try to find out what's "under the hood" and how you can fix it.

GeForce 7600 can handle that no problem...

If you right-click your desktop, there should be an "nVidia Control Panel" option, this will show you all the screens that are plugged in. If it's not there, look in the bottom right corner in the task bar, and there should be a green nVidia icon there to click on.

If it isn't there, you need the correct driver from here.

From there, you can customize how the card handles the output.

If there's nothing that fixes it, your problem might be the screen then. If the screen is looking for PAL input instead of NTSC then it will always show up odd like that, or the other way around.

Let me know what happens

I changed resolution on the secundary monitor (car LCD) in the program Power Strip.
Except resolution, I try to change horizontal frequency view too from 5kHz to approximately 50kHz, but it didn't be successufully.

I think, problem is in the NTSC and PAL.

So are you connecting this to the OEM navigation display?
