I don't disagree with ya Just keepin' it reasonable for the Japanese, lol. Wasn't that long ago that they had to lie and say everything was 270

And I would rather they focus on weight savings rather than all out HP... As they say, weight is the enemy

All new cars are heavy so I gave up on that. I'll take the HP. As shown, these tanks of new cars go fast with the HP regardless.

I think a big thing would also be advertising. How often have you seen any advertising for any of the Speed lines?

Send a message via MSN to turbosomsp
First thing first,Mazda need to make money before their start thinking about speed version of any of the line up I believe that they need to make more model variant of the same platform like a coupe version of the 3 and 6,a CUV from the next 2 platform the built a skyative V6 engine pronto to built the next CX9 and the new MX5 platform cut be use for the next RX? Now when they get some cash flowing start building speed version of this cars also what I will do is to bring speed 2 soon as possible and that's easy just use the 2.0L engine and tune the motor for performance more power and higher RPM and that is to start.

they will not makea skyactive v6. As every auto manufactor is leaving the v6, and just going with 4cyl turbos. Better fuel better power.

Fine, no V6, just stick two 2.5L together, add a couple of turbos, and give us a 5L SkyActiv V8TT

They just don't move the units to have big dollar signs to dump into anything risky, like another Wankel motor at the moment. The Camry alone out sells all of Mazda in America.

We need them to start selling cars like crazy, then maybe by 2018 or so we can get an RX-(7, or will they call it 9). I just want the MZR 2.3T in the new Mazda 6 or Miata (with RWD).
The above is true, I wish more people realized it . We could see a Speed3 about 2018, but probably not a Speed6--- for many reasons including cost. I would love to see another Speed6---I have one. In todays dollars a new Speed6 would base about $38k, its worth it, but how many people would shell out over $40 with a couple options ,tax and all that BS. The new Audi S5 is a wonderful car actually a lot like the Speed6---a little faster. But it sells for $52k--- too much for me.Unless you want to count the WRX/STI there is not much out there. For a reasonable price. Oldvet
