Many newer model vehicles want us to be DEALER FOLKS and it's a promo the manufacturer wants from their buyers to take it to the dealer for all work to be performed based on their vehicles mileage/ time duration. Sad but be sure you know the in and outs of these types of "faults" before by new or used. Some manufactures have gauges you can buy to reset these features by BMW is wise to that and have made it difficult to reset all operations within their computerized monitoring system.
