Upper Grille Modification/Replacement

Has anyone attempted to replace the 2nd Gen NA Mazda 6 Upper Grille? Obviously this entails cutting out that portion of the bumper, but I see these products on eBay that look like they would overlap the area that was removed and are installed with 3M tape on the outer edge. Seems a bit painstaking, but do-able.

Definitely want to tackle this project on my 2013 GT, but not if others have tried and failed of course.

The pics look good, and it looks like something I might do.

I'd be sure that anything you order is fitted for the USDM-market 6, since the front ends are different from what the rest of the world have...

Right, I plan on contacting the sellers. One is actually MV-Tuning, who makes body kits for the 3rd gen. The upper portion looks the same for both NA and European versions, hopefully that's the case.
