2.2 Diesel performance issues

Hi guys I'm new so if this is in the wrong section please move. i have had a search through posts but can't find the answers

i recently purchased a 6 2.2 diesel (180bhp version) and it felt bait slower than i expected but performed ok. i booked it in for a DPF and EGR delete with stage 1 map (expecting 200+)

DPF was gutted and EGR blanked. when they got it on the dyne it made 160 bhp before map so was down on power, they checked a few things and thought maybe it was down from factory. the map was added and it only made 170bhp so definitely an issue somewhere but no fault codes.

they thought it could be MAF as actual boost and requested was different by 0.3 bar

changed the MAF still the same, since this i have had a smoke test come back fine, terra clean, new fuel filter and air filter still the same and NO CODES

anyone have the same experience or any ideas as its driving me nuts!

just to say the tuner is a mazda specialist and i read 100s of positive reviews before travelling there

Thanks in advance

Dyno numbers can vary wildly. The only thing a dyno is good for is change in power. You can run the exact same car on 2 separate dynos, and they can return wildly different numbers. Especially going off the factory numbers, which are typically crank values, and don't take into account the fairly significant losses from within the drivetrain. I've dyno'd my old GTI on 2 separate dynos, one said it was making 170HP, and another said 270HP. It all depends on how they have it setup.
