Adjustment knobs on vacuum solenoids?

I tried searching both here and google, but I cannot for the life of me find out what the adjustment knobs on the vacuum solenoids are actually for. I am referring to the ones that activate the VCTS and the air box flapper, they all have a little black adjustment knob that appears to have a mitsubishi logo on it.

I am hoping they have little to no effect on things, but then why would they be there? I kinda moved one cleaning my throttle body and I was a little worried about it.

those arent a knob. there just a cover for a vent on the solenoid. you should be able to spin it as much as you want, or even pull it off. its nothing more then a cap.
