Appropriate CANBUS for 2012 Mazda 6i

cross-post, no responses over in a/v, hoping someone here may help.

2012 Mazda 6i. I got a new eonon head unit that came with a "mz-ss-01" canbus adapter. With this model, the MODE button on my steering wheel didnt work (just made the canbus beep), and following their instructions to modify the in-dash clock didnt work. so they sent me a new mz-ss-01 with the same problem- took 2 weeks to arrive.

after two more weeks of emails back-and-forth (they only send one instruction per day, the day after they get an email from me), they sent me a "mz-ss-04" adapter, which fixed the "MODE" button, but now the automatic reverse camera as well as modifying the in-dash clock doesnt work. now they want to send me a new mz-ss-04 adapter.

Can anyone tell me if they're sending the wrong adapters entirely ? i read on google that mz-ss-01 seems appropriate but can't find anything at all about mz-ss-04.

FYI eonon support just officially recommended that i unplug my car battery at 12:00 to reset my dashboard clock to the right time.

Hi Jeremy,

Nice day!
Thanks for your reply and nice patience.
Since the problem we didn't meet before. It takes some time for our tech to figure out the problem.

2. Regarding the clock setting, please pull out the positive battery line of the car before 12:00, and connect the line at 12:00, so the time of the car is just synchronized from 00:00, so you can solve the problem of the clock.
