Well, apparently after reading reviews on Amazon it doesn't actually work.

Has anyone found an alternative? I will probably run a Pioneer HU and want to retain my factory Aux/USB/etc.

Thanks,

If you don't mind some DIY, here's my solution to retaining the factory USB. http://forum.mazda6club.com/electric...et-stereo.html

Thanks, I'll keep it in mind. I would certainly hack up a USB cable to retain the factory port. I've done that before, but I was hoping for a plug and play solution. Oh well.

As you found out, none of those works.. The Smartrover came with USB so I used that, I think it's long enough to reach the center console and sit next to the original USB but for now its in my glove box being used as storage drive for my radio.

Dont have the parking sensors on my 6 but does the original display show you which sensors are going off. Or is it just the Dash that shows you?

No, you only hear the beeping but they are linked to canbus from what I understand. The newer stock head units display the parking sensors

Most likely id say no since the headunit doesnt seem to come with any software that displays that. Unless its the same software that shows you what door is open when you open the door. Perhaps it could have the parking sensors displayed. You would just need to wait to see if anyone who has parking sensors has the display pop up. Sorry i couldn't be more helpful.

I'm sad. I installed the head unit today but the back up camera doesn't work because, manual transmission. I contacted the seller but they're sleeping right now. I was thinking about doing the write-up on how to make it work again but by the time I get the parts, the wiring harness will come by then. From your experiences, should I just go ahead and hack it up myself?

Someone posed a question on this device, and thought about you guys!

Q: Can this device be used in the car to play audio
https://www.amazon.com/Alloyseed-Alu..._cd_al_qh_dp_i

A:
I just tested my 7-Port Alloyseed device in my 2014 Mazda 6, and when one (1) USB Drive was plugged in, it played just fine, however I got a USB Read Error when I added a second USB Drive. I brought this unit for my 4K Sony Android TV, and it works with multiple items installed. SO, if your head unit it a Smart Unit (like one powered by Android), and can see Multiple drives / devices, this should work very well.

Love to know IF this can be done. Peace!

Hi! I'm trying to install my backup camera but I'm kind of stuck.

I connected the ground wire to the head unit side connector. What got me confused is the blue/white wire that you said to connect to the AMP-CON wire. That wire leads to the Canbus Decoder module. The part I'm stuck with is the blue/red wire. I tried testing to connect it to the factory harness red/white wire but nothing happened. I'm not comfortable with cutting into the factory harness so I tried to just stick the wire in. That didn't work but I noticed a white/red wire in the same factory harness. I tried sticking the 12v to 6v blue/red wire in there too but that didn't work as well. I'm pretty stuck.
@Hisma, @chutoyy, @Donkey Grundle, @Interlukens 1. Please help!
