2012 iTouring - radio resets, loses presets

Own a 2012 iTouring ... disc changer + Bluetooth radio.

tonight is the second time in the life of the car that the all the radio + bluetooth presets erased on their own. first time, last year, we paid no attention to it, thought it was an off thing - tonight we were on the phone and my gf was using the Bluetooth when it kicked her off. She later noticed the presets were gone too.

Anyone else have this problem?

Just for post posterity it did it again a couple months ago except this time I was in the car - hit a small bump on the hwy, there was a loud pop thru the speakers and the radio shut off. turned it back on and all the presets gone including Bluetooth settings.

Am assuming it's probably a cold solder joint in the head unit :/

Check for a loose ground. It's easier to look for and fix than a solder joint inside the HU.

Just happened today while pushing the preset button on the steering wheel - the little beep it gives each time you press it started rattling off like a machine gun for about 2-3 secs before the HU shut off and lost its presets.

I'm willing to bet a loose ground doesn't cause that ....

I've had the same exact thing happen. Only once so far, but the pop was so loud it scared the crap out of me! Then everything was set back to default.
