Does your unit have a control knob in the center console (between the driver seat and passenger seat)?

@Darkii89 I believe you have the Pioneer unit, as does Japan.

Maybe I shouldn't say this but I am willing to give money TO Mazda instead of the other way around. This for a replacement unit without the known problems in the original (and a better NAV).

If the atty you contacted still has not returned your call, PM me. A friend of the family specializes in class action lawsuits and was intruiged by the fact pattern. He has given me contact info that I can pass along to you.

I have not heard back yet. I was thinking because of the long weekend (and I have no clue how busy an attorney's office is) they may not have had time to call me back yet. I was going to follow up tomorrow. That being said I am more than happy to contact your friend. I would feel much more comfortable talking with somebody someone knows. I'll send you a PM and if you get the info to me by tomorrow, I can call in the late afternoon my time (EST).

UPDATE: I had a long talk with Peat's contact yesterday. He was very helpful and interested in starting a case. Right now my task is to provide him with as much information as possible, including links to this thread and the petition. Once he does his initial research & review, he will get back in touch with me and tell me what the next steps are.
