I remember that I had one of the boring key + fob setups on my 6, but never thought about swapping it.

But these days I'm in near bliss with my current key. Its not quite perfect but a right sight better than using a key. (I wish it was pure push button, but not like the s2000 where you still use the key lol)

AKE or bust

06 MX5 GT - w/ Susp. Package (Bilstein shocks and LSD), Prog. Tech. Springs, Bose/xCarlink/10 Inch Fosgate P2 with Alpine 250w amp, RoadsterSport 2 Muffler, Racing Beat catless midpipe, AEM CAI, RHT
05 6i, Glacier Silver - Traded!

It is a really great system by Mitsubishi, and I wish Mazda stuck with it. My MS3 "GT" doesn't even have it as an option. In fact it uses the same keys and FOB as the OP of this thread, can't even install the flip key. I was spoiled by the MS6.

The flip keys for the 06+ will not work with the 05's. However this key will. I got it off eBay from a seller in Taiwan.

Newer MS3 with the Tech package use this key: Just like the other cars in the line up now. Its the same pretty much, just a bulkier stick in your pocket.
