I changed my stcok headlamps to the Sylvania silverstars last night (without taking off the front facia) and I found an extra wire inside the assembly. Do you guys know what that is for?

Just checking,
DJ

For the price you paid, they'd better. I hope they don't burn out on you, like they have for so many others.

I am going with Excelites from Autolumination.com, I think.

Just go with a HID upgrade! makes all the difference in the world! I got mine from VVME.com for 100.00 shipped. I LOVE THEM! and after spending pretty much the same amount on bulb that just kept blowing and had NO WHERE NEAR the output. I felt that the stock projector just wasnt illuminating the road signs enough and the HID is Just perfect without blinding the oncoming traffic.

If HID is too rich for your blood, RPM sells bulbs that are as bright as silverstars but they have a lifetime warranty. I've had the ST's before and they seem to last 1.5 years almost to the day for headlamp bulbs.
