Took my car in to a local shop last Friday and here's the write-up:
"Cranks no start--Perform testing and inspection scan for codes. Check fuel pressure. No spark from coils. Network code U0073 Communication Error. Attemp to Diag U Code ABS codes stored U1900 U2516. Cleared codes engine started. PCM codes P2100 P2107 P2110 appeared. Clear codes did not return after road test. All circuits from PCM to coils and injectors all OHM properly. Customer had PCM reflashed at dealer. After start up unable to duplicate concern."
I drove the car the remainder of the day. The next morning, my car would not start. It cost me $183.24 for them to hook my car up to the computer, reset it, and not resolve the problem. I'm having it towed to Mazda in the morning. Is it possible to reset the computer without a computer hook-up? When the car is running everything is fine, it just won't start.
Does the MSP10 CAN Communicaiton recall have anything to do with this? When I took it in to Mazda (3 weeks ago) they did XXB095R1 PCM and XXB095R2 TCM Reprogramming. What were these for? They performed these because they were open recalls on my car. I never new I had a computer problem.
What should I expect from Mazda tomorrow? Any idea how much money I will be out of? This doesn't seem like a mechanical problem, right?
