So Im thinking of doing some accent lighting for both inside and outside of the car.. Im thinking of doing some Cold Cathode under the dash and then maybe doing an under body kit.. or maybe skipping the underbody kit and doing a wheel well kit. The color I would do is white.. what is everyones thoughts bout doing neon? is it to ricey? It would mainly be just for shows. Heres an idea of how the wheel well kit would look..

I always thought that it was a bit ricey, but at times, if done right and all you see is the glow, it looks nice. I think that if you stick to your plan, it will look nice, especially for show.

I too am a bit picky about the neon mod, but it does look good if done right. As for the wheel well neon, I think it would look great if you can just focus the light out through the wheel/rim area only and block any light that would leak out to the sides, behind or front.

You scared me, I thought I was going to see a thread on whether or not you should get a Dodge Neon.

Seems ricey to me. White MIGHT be ok, but I'm not so sure about that.

Not crazy about neons, but for show, it would look nice. I think white's a good choice. Too many people doing the blue.

Ya, If I did it I would do it right and make sure that you only saw the glow and not the rod itself.. when you start seeing that crap then it does turn ricey.. I think I might just stick with doing the wheel wells and doing some interior lights to.. and ya, I like the glow of white,, its not to flashy and looks really nice..

To answer your quetion:
I would say that neon is a "Need for Speed Underground" ricey thing to do.

Having said that, I also believe that you must do what's right for you first of all.
And, I have seen some nice "rice" on the road.
It's all about not going too far with it IMO.

I agree with the "going to far" statement.. I dont wanna make my car a glowing christmas tree I just wanna add a few accent lights and thats all..
