The question is in the title, and just so everyone is clear, its those standard cylindrical-like plugs that plug into the 12v accessory/cigarette lighter outlets with two contacts around the circumfrence of the cylinder and one contact on one end and a wire comming out of the other end. I want to hardwire something into my car but I feel bad about cutting the plug off the wire, so I would like to know where on the plug to attatch the wires. Thanks!

Most plugs have the fuse attached to the center spring loaded bit on the end. Fuses normally go on the positive side... I could be wrong though.
