Well, today I went out and my car started fine, and was out running some errands. I got home and everthing was fine. Then I had to step out again and the car wouldn't start, so I asked my brother to jump start me and it worked. So I went to Discount Auto Parts, and had them test my battery, and my battery was bad. I replaced it there on the spot, and the car wouldn't start again. The car just clicks, and my gauges go insane. The lights turn on sometimes, and the locks sometimes too. I don't know what's wrong and am getting really frustrated. . It turns on sometimes and then decides not to, and my gauges move crazily up and down. Please help!

It could possibly be that the starter contacts have gone bad. It happens. Or the starter has gone bad altogether. Whether it's the alternator or the starter, both will need to be tested by a technician to determine if either one is causing your car not to start...

This is the second in two days....

My question to you is that if you have done anything recently with your electrical? Install grounding kits, HID's, etc? If not, I'd suggest a visit to the dealer.

Good luck and let us know what happens!

Problem solved. I cleaned the battery terminals, and everything is good to go. Thanks guys.

yeah the stock battery terminals can get lots of gunk on them and prevent you from getting a good contact.. seems wierd that it would happen to a somewhat new car :\

try putting a conductive coating on the terminals, like electrolitic paste (even vaseline works). It stops the terminals from getting gunked up.You should also check and clean your terminals at least once every 6 mths.A terminal cleaning brush cost only a few dollars from any parts store.
