I ordered their super white bulbs and when I got them in the mail I noticed that they look nothing like what is pictured on the site and actually look dark blue/purple. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I emailed them and they told me that the bulbs I recieved are identical to what are shown on the site.

I took some pics for people to see.
The second pic is next to some GE blue 194's.
Third pic is from the site.

I think you should give them a shot. Any bulbs I've used that were lighter "blue" than that always looked yellow and crappy when actually illuminated.

On autolumination's site, the picture was taken with a big flash bulb to make the bulb lighter than it is. That is why you have yours that "look" darker than the picture.

I don't know about the regular bulb color but I do agree that the LEDs ordered from Autolumination is rather bluish color than a pure white.

The one that I'm satisfied with is actually from superbrightleds. It's their WLED-WHP LED. It's very close to pure white and the light output is very bright too. Click here

I just put those in today. I thought the same thing, until I saw them on at night. They do have bluish tint, but when they are on at night, they're generally white, and they match the HID color pretty well.

Give them a try, they're nowhere near as dark as they look.

I also put in similarly bluish looking H1s in the high beams, and they look great! No more yellowy light! They're bright, bluish white and they match the HIDs perfectly.
