just got an 07 6i and im looking to put in HID conversions. trying to find out about them somewhat...
does the 07 6i come optional for HID,(like some other make cars do) or do i have to get the WHOLE kit including the ballasts etc... im new to Mazda and to this HID scene so any help would be appreciated.
also if anyone has any suggested comapnies to buy from, that would help too. i heard Hella was good, but id be open to anything. thanks

theres quite a few sponsors on this forum that sell HID kits here bro, like I said in my other reply to one of your "2007 mazda" posts, everything should be there same as the '06, and mostly the same as every other year, except for interior and cosmetic changes.

do some searching and research before someone really starts bashing you man, just some friendly advice.

anyone have any experience with this kit? im looking to do minimal work. im not 100% sure about retrofitting and dont know if thats for me.

i've heard phillips aint bad at the hid business, but i have the xtec 5k kit bought from therpmstore.com, their customer service is fantastic and their prices are always dropping, i highly recommend it.

The more you search on the subject, the more you're gonna want to do a retrofit. The stock halogen projectors have a nice cutoff, but there are two pencil hotspots where most of the light is projected. A retrofitting the projectors will get rid of the hotspots and produce a wide, even beam. Basically the whole lit area is like a big hot spot, better for night driving. Having an HID in the lows does not allow you to see further, it just illuminates the low beam area a lot better than with the stock halogens.
