Retro is a full replacement of projectors and the addition of HID components, the best possible HID install, however it's more costly and a lot more work. It requires baking the lights and removing the stock projectors, but it produces the best output with the cleanest output.

That being said, I've seen a couple cars now with 35 watt HID kits installed in the 6's stock projector and I must say, the output is great and the cutoff is not glaring or bothersome at all. I can't say about the 50 watt kit though, personally I think this would be total overkill. The 35 watt kit is damn bright.

For those prices, the 35 watt Xtec kit is damn tempting man.

insane pricing, the only thing you wouldn't get versus our sponsors is wire harness right?

Our sponsors sell the harness for an additional charge. It isn't included with the kit as far as I know. I'm still not convinced that the harness is necessary anyway as I've not read of one confirmed report of stock wiring failing due to HID's being used on a 6.

I gotta say, that deal is really tempting. I'm gonna have to really give this some serious thought. I was dead set on doing the retro, but I've seen a couple non-retro installs now that really look good. I see they also offer the lifetime warranty as well, but I have no idea how hard it'd be to take them up on it.

I have ordered from Chris at understeer, and it takes on average 4 weeks to get the HID's from him, VS like 5 days with Donny.

Well, it says GB prices ship in 1-2 weeks, so you'd have to be patient, but it's quite a significant savings.

For a savings of $80, I wouldn't mind waiting 4 weeks for it. I'm in no rush, so this is very tempting....

Well I just ordered it from them today and I confirmed the 1-2wk ship timeframe over the phone... So I hope to see it in the 2-3wk range...

Once I receive the kit, I will do a How To for it w/ tons of pictures...

Since they say the 35w HIDS, use less power then the OEM bulbs why would anyone worry about using the stock harness?
