Well I wasn't expecting them to match 6000k. But they're just as yellow as the halogens were.

Ugh. Not overly satisfied. Not white at all.

Anyone else?

I'm guessing you got these from RPM, I would contact them and let them know, I know that in the past there were problems with Xtec mis packaging the bulbs. Are the bulbs clear or blue? I have these in my low beams and fogs and I'm more than satisfied, Much whiter than stock

The HID-Match should be blue bulbs, if they are clear then you got a mis packaged set of them

which reminds me, I have two sets of these...one set of H1 and one set of H3 that I don't need....if someone wants them for their headlamps and foglights, make me an offer, since I wouldnt suggest trying to match them to HIDs.

oh, and I've got the 5K HID kit.... Pics are around here somewhere *looks around*

Pics!

Thats Lisa's (repo2142) SG in the pic. Remember, this is a 5000K kit.

oh, and bulbs are blue.

Ya I have to agree that these things suck.. I also dont like them and there "warranty" that that give you with them.. I had my first bulb burn out on me not 2hrs after installing it and when I sent it back to them for a replacement they sent me some off brand bulb, not even an Xtec bulb. And to add to that, when I contacted them about returning the bulb to be replaced, they told me I would be getting TWO bulbs in replace of the one so that I have a backup in the future. Well when I recieved my FAKE Xtec replacement bulb I only got one. So I guess what Im saying is Im not satisfied what so ever.

Memphis,

You were supposed to have gotten two. I'll inform Xtec of the mistake. If you have another problem, you will definitely get two bulbs. With regards to the bulb itself, it is an Xtec bulb and it carries the same warranty as the original. Replacement bulbs are sent in white boxes, rather than the fancy plastic packaging. The box should have been labeled with a symbol resembling an "A" which stands for AU-Lite, which is Xtec's parent company.

To address some other concerns, the bulbs should have a blue coating. If they do not, let us know.

With regards to the color, they are 4000k in color and are as close to HIDs in color as you can get while still maintaining decent output. It's not possible to obtain the look of HIDs using halogen bulbs. If there was a way, people would just buy that instead of HIDs. With that said, they do match HIDs much better than your stock halogen bulbs, which will appear VERY yellow alongside any set of HIDs.

i would add that, all stock OEM were 4100K rated, and upped it up to 4300K (D2S).... to match the color is easy, but depends on the ANGLE U R LOOKING AT.... remember the cutoff? if u do a retro, ur beam will looks blue on a distance, but at a near distance, u'll only see yellowish white.... when u r far from the car, u can only see white/purple/blue because that's above the cutoff line... BUT when u r near, u see yellow cz that's what the color supposed to be.... 4100-4300K are not supposed to be white or blue...

Yeah. Mine are the same yellow as the ones I had in there. Maybe a variant by a very light shade or something

They have a blue coating to them. But are as yellowish beige as anything.

Here's the pictures off RPM site:

Thus why I expected them to be kind of whitish...

mine were blue in color and are defenitely Xtec. i think the problem is not with the bulbs, but with the lower fog projectors. i think they alter the color of the bulbs to yellow no matter what you put in there.
