OK....6 months with them installed and one has burned out. I can't find any documentation regarding warranty. Anybody have an idea of what the warranty may be?

I got a feeling I'm buying new bulbs again. Just not sure if I will drop this kind of $$$ for bulbs again.

And to answer the other question that may arise: Yes, I exercised caution and diligence when installing the bulbs. No oils from my hands ended up on the bulb.

from the piaa site:

"If my product is covered by warranty how do I get it processed?
If a PIAA product is suspected of being defective, it must be submitted freight prepaid, to either an authorized dealer or distributor for warranty inspection. The receipt or other proof of purchase and a description of the problem must be included. The returned product will be inspected. If the product is found to be defective and covered by this Limited Warranty, the sole remedy is repair or replacement, at PIAA's option. A repaired or replacement product will be shipped back at no charge, and will be warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use for as long as the original purchaser owns it. Removal, installation, or reinstallation costs are not covered by this Limited Warranty. Read the Warranty page on the web site for additional information regarding your warranty."

they said something about power surges causing a lot of problems and what to look for to see if this is the problem.

Thanks Mike for the link. I am sending the bulb back soon.

As for the LEDs..I did buy some. However, I neglected to pay attention to the LED diameter. The one's I purchased are too wide to mount in the parking light slot. So I switched them to the doors. One of these days I will re-order the correct ones.

UPDATE:

Thanks to zzzzoom6 for the PIAA link. That started the ball rolling for replacement.

Called the customer service number and stated (pleaded somwhat) my case. PIAA warranty is 1 year, given the obvious constraints. In my case, all I had to do is fax my sales receipt and they will replace the bulb...no questions.

A pleasant process dealing with this company. An excellent example of what customer service should be about. This has reinstated by faith in this product.

Thanks for the update, STSCS. I ordered a few PIAA bulbs and it's good to know that they are a pleasure to deal with. Gives peace of mind, you know?
