Yes, it should work, since it supports CAN. But for $50, all it does is read and reset codes. If you're willing to spend extra for added functionality, check out the Scan-Gauge, which also reads and resets codes, but does lots of other things as well.

It is allegedly cool to rehash previous threads, so here ya go.

Basically, wondering if anyone actually bought this ABOVE UNIT and if it worked?

I have also heard the cartridge style is undesireable. LOOKING FOR A DEAL, but value is also measured though level of functionality.

Mine CEL came on at 20k mi., the autozone scanner didn't find anything. But problem re-occuring.

Also, has anyone run across NOTEBOOK SETUP for scanning/resetting/updating with your laptop??

Was also curious if anyone has used the ScanGaugeII and how they've liked it. It looks like they're supposed to be coming out with a USB option next month to download data to a memory card/computer.

If you want to hook up to your car and put the stuff on your computer then get a CarMD unit.

is the CarMD CAN compatible?

the price sounds great, decent form factor, it does the usb. which is great.

however some let you tune on the go, adjust timing, etc....

anyone care to venture how acurate, up to date or comprehensive their website is?

that's where I grow weary... but seems decent on a first impression.

of course, I then read this on the CarMD website...

Q: Can I use CarMD to turn off my “CHECK ENGINE” light?
A: No. It is not recommended for drivers to turn off their vehicle’s “CHECK ENGINE” light until the pending or current problem has been identified and repairs confirmed. If you are a confident do-it-yourselfer or have confirmed that the “CHECK ENGINE” light is illuminated because of a loose gas gap and wish to turn it off, we recommend purchasing a product called an OBD2 code reader or scan tool from your local auto supply store.

Agreed, seems to be the neatest scanner on the market. Can't wait to get mine.
