Which hid bulbs are best to replace the stock hid's with. I'm looking at 6000k bulbs and don't want to pay 85 or more dollars per bulb and I also don't want to get really cheap quality bulbs. Basically whats a good bulb brand and whats a good place to buy them from.

We sell Xtec D2S replacement bulbs that should actually be brighter than the stock bulbs at the lower color temperatures. Of course, you can order any color you want. You can check them out here:

Is there any discount code for those? I know that the hid kits have the 6CLUBHID coupon code but is there one for just the replacement bulbs?

There are no discount codes for the bulb replacements.

XtecUSA states that the Xtec bulbs will be 10% brighter than competing bulbs on the same ballasts. All bulsb will color shift in time. That's just the nature of the beast. And yes, they do carry a lifetime warranty.

I can't provide a "x lumens" difference between two bulbs as the amount of output ultimately depends upon the ballasts themselves, which is why Xtec states it as a percentage.

RPM has by far the best deal on bulbs. $150 and a lifetime warranty!

You can find them on Ebay for like $100 - 120 ish, but they offer no warranty and don't tell you the manufacturer. Iffy if you ask me, I'd go w/ RPM.

DAMN... lifetime warranty on the bulbs as well? how does that work? does the warranty covers the difference in bulbs' color, dim output than usual, broken bulbs (and i mean broken, as in break-the-glass that kinda broken), cracked return wire?

Ohh ohh..... falcontx, can you tell me the specs for your xtec ballast? the Vnorm, A, W, blablabla? thanks, i wanna compare it with the bosch/al ballast... just for knowledge... thanks, very appreciate...

The warranty would cover differences in color between the bulbs (assuming the ballasts are known good, but doesn't include "colorshift" over time) and bulbs that stop working. Broken bulbs may be covered if it can be proved that the breakage was the fault of the bulb. If you drop it, step on it, drive your car into a tree, etc, obviously, this is not covered.

I don't have any of that information, but I'll see what I can find out.
